Ever since Charles told me about his dream job, I've been seriously thinking about getting one of my own. I just am not sure what that would be. I came across a quote once that said, "Grown ups are always asking kids what they want to be when they grow up, because they are looking for ideas." Well, I'm looking for ideas. Once upon a time my dream was to be a lawyer. I don't know if I really would've enjoyed it, but I always wanted to get awesome grades and go to a prestigious school and pass the bar and just be really cool. Just to say that I did, ya know? Prideful, ok, maybe, but be honest, who isn't? I want to go back and finish school. I'm not sure I want to finish what I started... Accounting. I love accounting, and I love business, but it's not very "family friendly." Other things I've thought of are as follows. Please try not to laugh out loud at me. I actually had talent in some of these areas at one time.
Jr. High or High School teacher in Math or English... I really think I'd prefer English
Speech Pathologist
Accountant
Social Work/Counseling... this actual frightens me to death, but I keep thinking about it. I'd love to work for LDS Family Services and work in the adoption stuff.
Exercise Science
Work in a bakery, as a cake decorator
Do the little old ladies' hair in an assisted living center
Ok, laugh it up. Now, seriously, what do you think?
*ok, so I had to edit this because I found my handwritten list and I realized that I left one off... social work... and also, that I had narrowed my list down to three which were:
accounting
social work
speech pathologist....
but lately I think a LOT about teaching....
I am really appreciating all the feedback, so I'm going to keep this post up for a while. Then hold onto your seats, because my next post will be NUMBER 100!!!

From your cakes that I've seen I think you'd do a great job at that, but for some reason I think you'd make a good speech pathologist, too. :) Good luck!
i think that one of my destinies (had I chosen that path) would have been to teach high school english. I really think I would have rocked at it. Speech Pathologists are cool. Accounting and Exercise completely baffle me (which is why I'm fat and can't balance a checkbook). But you would be a great cake decorator. And seriously? giving perms to old ladies all day would be a riot! Oh my gosh I'd just love to tag along with you.
If I was an old lady I would want you to do my hair and then make me a cake and stick around to eat it with me. So that takes care of two dreams all at once.
Camille, You are too cute. I love all of your dreams. I sat down a few months ago and made my own "dream list" and English teacher is on mine too. :) I think you would be fabulous at anything you did. I love your cakes. I have never done a cake so I don't know, but I have heard that it takes a lot of time and patience. Both are things I don't have a lot of. I wouldn't want anyone to eat it once I made it. :) I think you are too exciting to be an accountant. People are just naturally drawn to you and you should be in a career where everyone can see you everyday... it would be a shame for you to sit behind a desk crunching numbers all day. Everything else on your list would allow you to let your personality shine to the beautiful world around you. :) I sure miss seeing all you guys. We might be coming around the 4th of July and would love to visit the ward!
I was going out in speech pathology but while I was in school I found out I was pregnant so I kinda had to change to something I could get done a little quicker since you have to have a master's for that. I loved the program though and it would be the coolest job! But if I had a choice of any of those things on your list I would totally go with doing the old ladies' hair. I love going to the assisted living center! I did have a friend who went out in Horticulture and she worked for the Logan temple planting flowers and makes bouquets on the side. She also gets to buy her flowers wholesale because she is licensed. That's just my dream job, so I thought I would share the idea.
I think you would make an awesome teacher! I also like the one about doing hair for old women. You are so giving and caring and such a great listener, I know you would be loved by the youth or the elderly.
I think you would be AMAZING at anything you do! Especially the speech pathologist! :) I think you could TOTALLY rock it! Or a cake decorator/hair dresser! You should start a salon where you can have cake and get your hair cut at the same time! Two things women LOVE to do! Eat cake and be pampered!!:) I'm not sure what you'd call it but I would SO come! :) LOL
I have seen your cake pictures and they leave me in awe. You could do anything! :D I love the list!
How fun to pick something new and go for it! I have loved teaching - although, I'm not so sure about High School students! :) Really though, it sounds like you would be great at any of them!
P.S. Can't wait for post 100! :)
I think you would be great as a teacher in anything!! English or speech!! I also think that doing old ladies hair and making cakes would be a blast and totally fun!! You are creative and fun and you could do it all!!!!
The great news is that you would be amazing at anything. I think teaching is what appeals to me the most, not sure if I'll ever do it, but it works out really well with being a mom. So would being a pathologist for the school district or something, though. Sorry, not much help- good luck!!!
I think you would be good at any of them because you are such a kind and friendly person. I agree that teaching is the most family friendly one. I am sad that you are not the Relief Society President anymore, but I am glad you were and that I got to know what a wonderful person you are. Thank you for blessing our lives!
Holy cow! You would make an AMAZING SLP!!! I would totally ask for you to service the kids in my classroom! Go for it!
DID YOU GET RELEASED????
I was wondering the same thing!?? You must update us all! :)
Come back Camille...
I want you to work at LDS Family Services and get me soem more kids!
At least you have some good ideas of what you want to be when you grow up, I still dont know...
