Big Judd's FINALLY!!!

A couple weekends ago we finally found the time to head to Idaho Falls for a long overdue visit and lunch! We were able to take Grandma Gray some flowers, though we didn't stay long because she wasn't feeling well. It was still so wonderful to see her and give her a hug! We love you, Grandma!!! It's hard to be so close, and yet still so far! Life sometimes gets too busy. Afterward, we drove up to Rigby to take Daniel and Karla to lunch at Big Judd's. If you've never been, you really should go. I love that place, though I can't handle it quite the way I used to! We've been telling Daniel we'd take him to Big Judd's since he started school up at BYU-I. It's about time we followed through! But I'm glad we waited, so we could add Karla to the fun! They brought a bag of chips that Karla loves. They were pretty yummy, and spicy. I didn't think the kids would eat them, but they did.... all of them. Crazy kids. The kids wanted to make sure they had their Brazil shirts... just in case Daniel wore his. AND HE DID!!!!

Check out the difference from three years ago when we first attempted Big Judd's. They were closed for Labor Day so we ended up at Craigo's, another excellent choice! Notice the same shirts!!!

After lunch we headed to Rexburg to check out their luxury apartment and then walk around campus. It has changed so much! We spent quite a bit of time walking through the gardens and came across a porch with a swing. I teared up a bit as Louis asked me to sit with him for a picture... of course I didn't have my camera, so it's on his phone. It's kind of a wierd thing, but represents so much to us. And the cool thing is, it was a class gift in the year 2002, the year we were married! They must've just known!

Finally it was time to head back to Idaho Falls for dinner at Smitty's with Grandma Eva, Mary and Grandpa Hobbs. It sure is fun to get those three together, especially if pinochle is involved. So after an eventful dinner with Charles trying to choke on his bacon, and my heart stopping,... we went back to Grandma Eva's to begin the pinochle games. G&G Hobbs faced Louis and I first and we finally won! Then Louis and Grandma Eva paired up for a few rounds before Jake took over. We had a long, wonderful day full of those we dearly love. Hopefully we can do it again soon! Check out Kaylee's crazy face... she had a way loose tooth and wanted a picture. She kept wiggling it to gross out Grandma Eva!

So I've heard of pinochle but never actually played it - what is it anyway? I can't believe Kaylee is losing teeth already!
