First up, I turned 28 on Monday. I was very excited for this birthday. I was determined to have a better day than last year. Not that people didn't make my birthday awesome last year, because they did, but because last year I felt OLD, frumpy, and depressed with life. Well, this year was SO much better! I felt younger, more energetic, hopeful for the future, and determined to have a super year! Plus, I can finally remember how old I am without doing the math! Lame, I know, but I turned 28, on the 28th. Eureka!
He was biting right through the peel of this orange! Crazy kid, I love him!!!
Second big event, we went in for our ultrasound. It was so fun to take the kids! Much to Kaylee's dismay, we are having a boy. Charles was thrilled. I hope this little boy is a lot like Charles. He has really been such a sweetheart. Kaylee is excited, still and I am so glad to have such a good little helper. I have some cute shots of this new little guy, but no scanner.... sorry. At first he was wiggling all over the place so the tech had a hard time finding him to get measurements, then when she was trying to get some cute 3-D face shots, he just snuggles right up and stays put. Oh, I hope he is a snuggler! I just love snuggly babies!!!
Next up, my friend got married on New Year's Eve. Awesome way to end the year and begin the next, eh? I got to decorate and set up for the luncheon. It was my first attempt at doing anything like that without my right hand woman, Amber to make it all beautiful. I tried to convice her to fly out and help me, but no go. Fortunately, she left behind all these awesome decorations from our RS days together and so I utilized her talent. Her legacy lives on!!! The wedding was beautiful and the new family was super cute in their new duds! Congrats, Colleen!!!
That night we partied as hard as two old timers can! I was surprised that this year the kids stayed up until after midnight! They even ran outside to bang pots and pans! Thanks, Donna and Steve for helping us to celebrate! Sorry I was so lame. I was feeling a little sluggish from all the day's activities and it was all I could do not to fall asleep. Next year, a little pick me up.... or a nap first.
I must say, 2009 has not been my favorite year.... I am not very sad to see it go. But I'd like to leave it on a positive note by saying that although I found my weaknesses in great abundance, and greater strength than I originally though, I also discovered strength I didn't know I had, and hopefully I will be able to become a better person (eventually) because of this year and all it's glorious "opportunities" shall we say? I am really looking forward to 2010 because it holds the promise of being so much better!!!

I didn't know you were expecting! I kind of wondered that day I saw you in the Dr.'s office :) Well Congratulations!
Congrats on the little one! You are a very talented, wonderful person.
Yeah for boys, sorry to Kaylee. She will love having a baby "doll" though!
I feel the same way about 2010, I think its going to be a better year than 2009 because I learned so much from it and Im ready to have a great time! Thats awesome that Charles will have a best bud to play with! Why did you keep it a secret, I am mad at you! no, just kidding! I cant wait to go visit you all in Logan!
I forgot to say, nice job with the decorations, it looks awesome!
Way to go with the decorations! I think you did a fabulous job. I too am looking forward to the new year, as far as the baby thing, Nate keeps telling me we need a boy so he can dress him up. I told him good luck with that. Kids are funny!
I am so jealous! I SO wanted a little boy! :) Wanna trade? Your decorations are amazing! You are seriously one AMAZING girl and I am SO thankful you are my friend! Here's to seeing more of me this year! Thats all you needed! More Marcie time! LOL! Seriously though I love ya girl!
A boy!!!! How exciting! Tressa's baby is so cute!!!
Camille, I am so excited for you guys! Glad to hear you are doing pretty well and again, I MISS YOU! I have got to get up there to see you. Take care until then, and I know your 2010 will be better! Just think of how much smarter you are after 2009!
Kaylee will adore him! Tell her to trust me on this one - I'm dying for a little girl, but I still love those little guys of mine.
I think you did an absolutely FABULOUS job of decorating without me. Sorry I couldn't fly out. I could have tried to purchase a ticket, but then my card would have declined and I would have been embarrassed... You wouldn't want that would you?
And...I'm a little jealous that you had some fun on New Year's. We're kind of lame out here. We don't really have anyone to hang out with :(
So, apparently I missed the pregnant announcement somewhere, CONGRATS! It's been a long time coming- I've been waiting for a while to hear the news. Are you ever going to look pregnant? Love and miss you, chilly mornings just aren't the same!
Ok! I am a little depressed from you missing our gumbo dinner and sledding, but I will get over it at some point (it may take a few months or years, though!)
So I didn't know you were pregnant either and I didn't know Colleen got married! Fun stuff! That is very exciting about the new baby boy on the way. I thought I saw a tiny baby bump at church today :)I'm so excited for you guys! Maybe I'll see you on campus!
