Lovely Little Lily

Last month we had a baby shower for my sister in law, Heather. My mom, sister, and neighbors made the yummy food and we had it at Heather's house.... well, where she grew up. It was a lot of fun and the food was so good! I keep dreaming about all the fresh fruit... yummy!

Squirm even came down to keep us entertained for a while. He didn't last too long. Guess he could since that this was a girl thing.

Lily got a ton of super cute stuff! I can't wait to see her in it all!!! Plus, there were some super snuggly blankets and sleepers and I nearly cried thinking about holding her and snuggling her in them. Oh, if only they lived closer!

Lily was born on Feb. 23rd. She weighed 8lbs. and a few ounces, I think. What a bad aunt I am, I can't even remember now. I do remember the 8lbs, though. I love big, chubby babies! :) I was so excited to see her and all her hair and her chubby cheeks.

We were able to travel down that weekend to visit. Kaylee had a birthday party for my cousin (who is a year older than her) in Salt Lake, so it worked out great. Charles enjoyed playing on the Wii, Kaylee took random pictures of everyone, I held Lily for as long as I could and Louis admired how cute I look holding two babies at the same time. Ha!

I had to unwrap her to see her hands, feet, and legs. I was expecting a big, chunky girl with some chunky thighs to go with those adorable chipmunk cheeks, but I was shocked to find little chicken legs! Her only chub is in her cheeks! How adorable is that? sigh. And her hair is beautiful. Kaylee was born with a head of dark hair, but nothing like Lily's. Kaylee's all fell out around six months and was replaced with super blonde fuzz. It will be interesting to see what happens with Lily's. Her mom kept all hers.... such lucky gals!
