Memorial Day Weekend

Well, despite the disappointment of not having a baby, we had a fun weekend anyway. Monday we enjoyed a super delicious breakfast of hashbrown, bacon and stuffed raspberry french toast. We were joined by Tressa, Jake, Squirmy and Donna and Steve. After breakfast we played hand and foot and Donna and I were able to CRUSH the competition and regain our rightful place as hand and foot champions. It felt wonderful after the previous night of losing every game we played!

While we played games, the kids played with Steve's wheelchair.

Squirm got in on the card playing action.

After my pride was full, we headed off to Willow Park zoo. The kids loved it. I made it through hobbling from bench to bench. After playing at the park for a bit we went back home to make cookies and decided to join up with Jake and Tressa in Brigham City at Jake's parent's home. They had invited us down to share a BBQ with their family. I love Jake's family. They are so good to make us feel at ease and welcome and are always inviting us down for dinner and fun things. They even played Wackee Six, just for me!!! It is such a fun game made all the funner by playing with them, especially Jake's mom. She is so sweet and hilarious! When the game ended we headed to Perry ice for a fabulous snow cone Jake had been telling us about all day. It was a sticky ending to a very fun day!
