A Simple Request

Dear Baby,
I'm glad I have such an exceptionally comfortable womb and that you have been enjoying your stay most thoroughly. I don't mean to pushy, but perhaps it is time to check out and move on to other sight-seeing ventures? I can't help but notice that you seem rather cramped. Perhaps you are unaware that my belly button will not be able to continue to stretch outwards to accomodate your rapidly growing feet. Please stop attempting to forcibly expand your space, especially in the said navel area. It is most uncomfortable and unappreciated. I do not believe you have the proper building permits for such an expansion.
In addition to my own requests, I have recieved several other complaints/requests that you move on out of there. These come mostly from people who are anxiously awaiting a chance to love and spoil you. I admit that some of these comments have also arrived from sources who are better off keeping their opinions to themselves and are apparantly unaware that it is very rude to approach a stranger and touch them in odd places or comment on their physical appearance in demeaning fashion.
The most demanding of requests have been made by Aunt Donna. You are most fortunate that Aunt Donna will not be out of town as planned this coming week or you would have been in BIG Trouble! Tonight as I was heading over to her house to play some games she greeted me at the door with yet another fun present for you. As she handed it to me, she said, "I certainly hope he gets here in time to use it!" I hope so too. Very much. Please don't disappoint us, ok?

Love,
Mom

Oh, I was hoping you weren't returning my calls because you were recovering! I am sorry. Just give him a spanken when he is born and then a big mushy kiss and then you will have made up. Call me, PLEASE!

Can I come over and play with your outie? Or would you rather that I bring a trampoline on which to jump? What is up with baby being so late? He better be here by the 4th of July or else YOU are in BIG trouble!!!

I'm waiting too!! Just wish I could come up to you and rub your belly and say "you're still pregnant!" Just kidding...the worst thing you can do to a pregnant woman!

Baby Koberstein is finally here!! He arrived via c-section at 1:52 this morning...just missing being born on his daddy's birthday. He is 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. Camille is exhausted but relieved to have him here. Baby K is perfect and adorable!
